I'm decently new to this community, but I am here for the long-term. I am 19 years old, almost 20.
This is the Application to TheDarkGamesMC-BuildTeam
At first, this is to see how well it may go. As of right now, we have what other Builders may call "Freelance Builders". Usually, Freelance Builders have a few Skill Sets, or Areas, they work well or don't work well in. A Build Team is made up of multiple builders, with some Areas of Experience shared by a couple of members, however other members that can cover where they lack.
Great Built Teams can also work together even if an individual lacks the required skill set, they ask other members how their build part looks and how they can improve, and most importantly they can share a common goal.
I have been playing Minecraft since Release-1.2.5, however I have been playing Pixelmon since mid-2015!
My best areas of building are Redstone, Structure, WorldEdit, and (above all) Team Builds. For those not sure what I mean by "Team Builds", that means working almost hand in hand with others on a project. I can both help and think up a plan with a group of builders, then also follow or even lead a team of Builders in the execution of said build.
A "Build Team" that resides in specifically in TheDarkGamesMC Community would not only make it so that the Management of TheDarkGamesMC would not be paying outright for a "Build" and be out money that was in the end waisted, but also create a sense of Community Involvement. What I mean by this is that the Community can be proud to say: "Yeah, we built this, not some Paid "Builders" (towards a build that looks "Okay" or "Crappy", but rather were built by TheDarkGamesMC Community that looks really "Great, Outstanding and Meaningful")
For a Build Team to actually succeed, including one for TheDarkGamesMC, these areas should be covered by The Whole Team, not an Individual (as that would be ridiculous for one person to cover everything):
Leadership - A person with Leadership acts as a Friend and Mentor to all. Knows their Teammates' supposed Build Strengths and Weaknesses. Helps Formulates an actual Build Plan with their Teammates. Can step back and let others also Lead at times, especially when they are less Experienced in that area.
Teamwork - Builders pitch in their part(s) of expertise at the point of when it's needed. Assists the rest of the Team until their part comes in play. Asks for help if and when they need it. Communicates what they are doing, before and while they do it.
WorldEdit/VoxelSniper - Almost all Builders that are on a Team should not only know what this is, but also know how to use it. If a new Addition to the Team does not know what these are, or is at least not familiar in how to use these, a session (or several) should always be held at the best available time by New Member and an Experienced Team Member.
Terraforming - This Builder(s) area tends to be the making of Lands from Scratch.
Structures - This Builder(s) area tends to be making the actual build look like it's Supported like a REAL Building outside of Minecraft.
Organics - This Builder(s) area tends to be making builds have an Organic (plants, "living" blocks like grass and wood, etc.) feel to them, rather than the build feeling plain and desolate.
Interiors - This Builder(s) area tends to be the making of Structures seem Homely/Livable/Functional, depending on the style and need of the Building that is made by the Architect and Structure Builders.
Architect - This Builder(s) area tends to be the Style-Setter of the build (like Medieval, Modern, Futuristic, etc. etc.). What they usually start the build with, the way other Areas will tend to change/adapt/hash-out their Parts of the Final Build.
Redstone - This Builder(s) area tends to be the making of actual Redstone. They know not just the Basics of Redstone, but the Advanced (or at the very lest, Semi-Advanced) as well. If something is needed to be made whether it be Secret Entrances, Traps, Switches, etc. etc., they are the go to.
Below is an Application to join my Build Team. Note that this is a Trial Team, and not Official yet. To make this Official, as a Team we have to prove we can work together. Newer Builders (or rather less experienced) should not be Discouraged! In this Team, I look forward to learning Different Techniques, as well as the Team teaching Newer Builders within the Team.
If you have any questions please ask me, and I will do my best to get back to you with my best answer, with as little delay as possible.
I look forward for to all of your Applications!
